Former Virginia Tech Head Coach and two time ACC Coach of the Year Seth Greenberg invites you to 4 practices where he focuses on individual development, defensive fundamentals and concepts, motion offense, and transition offense. Greenberg stresses the importance of passing and catching to limit turnovers, closing out and staying disciplined on the defensive end, and teaching his players how to play basketball and not be robotic in their actions. First focusing on individual development, Greenberg begins with a warm-up designed to reiterate proper fundamentals. Greenberg's Dribble Warm-Up Series puts an emphasis on the ball handler's ability to change speeds and direction with six different passing drills. Following up with defensive fundamentals and concepts, players learn how to guard game actions such as cross screens, flex screens, down screen and UCLA screens, as well as learning proper help and recover rotations, both from scramble and disadvantage situations. In his motion offense demonstration, Greenberg allows his players to play in a free-flowing manner without any set designed action. Each practice they work on their motion cuts and how to play off of the defense. Finally, in the transition offense, the Hokies work on both their primary and secondary breaks. From building on their 5-on-0 "Speed Game" to 5-on-5 secondary breaks you will see how their offensive attack can work against any defense. From ball screens in transition to staggered screens off the break the defense is forced to guard every type of action. This DVD is a must have for any coaching library. 619 minutes (5 Discs). 2011.
